Martin Bing BCom C.A. - Director & Founder
Martin has been involved with IT and software companies for more than 15 years. Prior to founding 1place he was with Peace Software as their CFO/Finance Director and has held senior management positions with Ernst & Young in NZ and Canada. Martin was also General Manager of Tax Management New Zealand Ltd and is a Member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Ross Mathieson - Director
Ross is an alumnus of Phillips Exeter Academy, New Hampshire and Auckland University, NZ. He joined IBM in 1966 and worked in both Systems and Sales in the United States, Australia and New Zealand. He subsequently formed his own consultancy company, specializing in strategic planning and software implementation for the utility (gas and electricity) industry. This lead to his helping Brian Peace and Paul Grey found the original Energy System within Peace Software in Auckland NZ in 1987, which eventually became the cornerstone of Peace's international market.
His wider interests include owning Pine Lodge, a Bay of Islands motel, as well as being a strategic planner and investor in several smaller companies, in particular Aeroptics, an internationally successful helicopter-based filming company.
